28 March

Sunday 28th March.

Packed up and headed off about 11. Hoped to go via Mt Tilga, but I seem to have missed the turnoff, so cruised along North side of the Lachlan. Great to see a few lovely sites/ billabongs with water, and again, some fab huge trees.

The country is much drier and flatter out here, but still fairly spectacular/ dramatic.

Seem to spend a lot of time stopping to take photos, which I will download from Camera (and upload onto site) very soon.

Passed thru Kiakatoo- a community Hall, then Euabalong- small town with Pub, reaching Lake Cargelligo  at 7. Set up camp at Caravan Park. Take away dinner from Bowling Club, shower and bed! It’s strange being in Caravan Parks after my first week of free/wild camping, Kind of nice to have a shower, and a few more people around. All the camp grounds are quite quiet, though will get busier with Easter  and school holidays.

Met some good folks at the pub: Melanie, Roger, Swede, Dale, etc.
